Here’s Statement of Malacañang on Increases Trust, Performance Ratings of Marcos Jr.
Malacañang reacted to the increase in the trust and performance ratings of President Bongbong Marcos based on the latest surveys.
Prior to the Marcos SONA 2025, the OCTA Research has conducted a survey from July 12 to 17 to determine the trust and performance ratings of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The results of the Tugon ng Masa survey saw an increase in both the trust and performance ratings of the Chief Executive.

Marcos Jr.’s trust rating rose by four percentage points to 64%. With regards to the performance rating of the President, the survey found a three-point increase that led to 62%. According to OCTA, the President got the highest ratings among the top officials surveyed for the second quarter.

Recently, Malacañang spoke on the increase in the trust and performance ratings of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on GMA News, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro claimed that the people are probably seeing the works of the President and how hardworking he is for the Filipino people and the country.

Despite the increase in the trust and performance ratings of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, the Malacañang press officer clarified that the Chief Executive is not after the numbers. Meanwhile, based on the report, she said that it is appreciated and it is better to have increased ratings that allegedly show that the work of the President is seen.
“Mas mahirap po kasi na bumababa ang rating pero nagtatrabaho; pero mas mabigat iyong hindi nagtatrabaho pero tumataas ang rating,” the Palace official said.
During his 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) held last Monday, July 28, Pres. Bongbong Marcos unveiled the promises of his administration to the Filipinos in the last three (3) years of his term. He assured the people that education remains at the center of the priorities of his governance and the public can expect the construction of more classrooms and the digitization of schools.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos also vowed that he will not sign budget proposals that are not in line with the plans of the government. According to him, he will return such proposals and he can go as much as having a reenacted budget.
However, recently, Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero claimed that the Cabinet secretaries of Marcos Jr. themselves allegedly request for additional budget.
