Kris Aquino to Undergo Intense Treatment & Isolation in Tarlac

Kris Aquino Opens Up on Health Struggles, Plans Six-Month Isolation

KRIS AQUINO – “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino is taking a major step in her health journey, announcing that she will be isolating for six months to undergo intensive treatment.

Kris Aquino has announced that she will be isolating for the next six months as part of her continuing fight against multiple serious health conditions.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kris shared the reason for her absence from social media. “On purpose matagal akong hindi nag-upload. I have to admit if I told you what was happening, some of you may stop praying because my autoimmune diseases were increasing in number and my life threatening ailments needed me to make a brave choice. Trust me, it’s difficult to accept every night when I sleep that there may be no tomorrow for me,” she wrote.

Kris revealed that she had been staying at a private beach property for almost two months, owned by a generous family that hoped to help her regain her health and strengthen her faith. She disclosed that she would soon undergo another intense infusion treatment — a combination of strong immunosuppressants that will eliminate her immunity. “I will be in preventive isolation for six months. I’ll live in our compound in Tarlac; my Cojuangco cousins and I fondly call it Alto…” she added.

She also opened up about her sons. Kris explained that her eldest, Joshua, has been staying with a cousin after being deeply affected by witnessing her illness. “Since the deaths of his Lola Cory, Lola P, and Tito Noy, seeing me frail, weak, often attached to my IV drip — kuya is traumatized… for now he’s living with my genuinely super loving cousin,” she shared.

Meanwhile, her younger son Bimby, now 18, has taken on the role of her primary caregiver. “He is heaven’s gift… my optimistic adult who reminds me I should ‘never surrender,’” Kris said, expressing her gratitude.

Kris thanked her medical teams from Makati Medical Center and St. Luke’s BGC, as well as her personal nurses and medical technicians, for their care and dedication.

In July, Kris revealed she has 11 autoimmune diseases and may soon be wheelchair-bound. Despite her struggles, she continues to ask for prayers, hoping for strength and healing in the months ahead.
