Kris Aquino Reveals Hospital Confinement Amid Health Scare
KRIS AQUINO – TV host Kris Aquino has once again been admitted to the hospital after doctors raised concerns over her recent blood test results.
Kris Aquino has once again been confined to a hospital following what she described as “alarming” findings from her recent blood panel. The Queen of All Media shared her health update on Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 19, giving her followers a glimpse of her current condition.
The post showed Aquino lying in a hospital bed, speaking to a medical staff member, while her youngest son, Bimby, rested on another bed beside her. In her caption, she detailed the circumstances that led to her latest confinement.
“I came in for the second dose of my Rituximab. I was prepared in the sense that we already knew all the protocols we would all need to follow. I have to give a big shoutout to [Dr. Geraldine Zamora] because she saw something in my blood panel results that she found alarming,” Aquino wrote.
“She convinced me to have an ultrasound done yesterday; with all my hospitalizations, I can already tell that I should be worried when the senior technician comes in,” she added.
Aquino, who has been battling 11 autoimmune diseases, revealed that she has consulted with three specialists. They collectively emphasized the urgency of her case, warning her not to delay further procedures.
“Doctor NC told me that he doesn’t do procedures unless they are necessary but this is something all my doctors discussed—why does Kris Aquino get these difficult to detect possible health time bombs not once but twice in her lifetime and because of the first, we now all know she’s allergic to all blood thinners,” she explained.
Despite being offered a non-invasive treatment, Aquino said she opted to rely fully on her team of Filipino doctors. “I had the non-invasive option explained to me, but I chose to literally trust Filipino doctors with my life rather than take medicine that I am unsure of especially because I just finished a big dose of a strong immunosuppressant and I am continuing with two immunosuppressants and so much more supplements, antihistamines, and important vitamins,” she shared.
Kris Aquino then asked for continued prayers, saying: “Wag sana kayo sumuko sa pagdasal dahil kumukuha ako ng lakas galing sa kabutihang loob ninyo.”
Aquino had earlier disclosed that she would undergo six months of preventive isolation. She is currently staying at her family’s compound in Tarlac after spending two months at a private beach home owned by a “kind and generous family.”
