Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s Daughter Kitty Duterte Visits Dad Inside ICC Detention Center
KITTY DUTERTE – The daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte spoke about his health as she confirmed that he was brought to the hospital.
It has been around five (5) months now since former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was brought to The Hague, Netherlands for the transfer of his custody to the International Criminal Court. The former Chief Executive is faced with an accusation of crimes against humanity before the ICC.
According to the ICC defense team of Duterte, they will not present witnesses at the September 23 hearing set for the confirmation of charges. They will also not supply written testimonials as to his lead counsel, British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman.
Recently, the youngest daughter of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Kitty Duterte, has arrived in The Hague, Netherlands for scheduled visits to her father. In an interview with Alvin & Tourism, the youngest daughter of the former President claimed that her father really noticed that she grew bigger — in terms of height.
According to Kitty, it is probably because of her footwear while he wears flats that their height are almost the same now. The daughter of the former President was also asked if her father was indeed brought to the hospital recently.
“Yes, but he is okay. It’s just, ah, you know, he’s routine check-up because as well all know he is old and not exactly in the best shape but he’s okay,” Kitty said.
Furthermore, Kitty Duterte also admitted that he expected former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte “to be more frail but he’s not”. According to her, her father is doing well and he is doing even better compared to his first few weeks inside the ICC detention facility.
“He’s healthier than I expected… He sounded more lively, more sharp,” Duterte’s youngest daughter said.
Based on the post, Kitty Duterte also expressed that just like what her father usually does, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is sending his warm regards to everyone and to the supporters for their unwavering love and support. According to her, for his family, the former President sends his pure love.
Recently, the statements of the lead counsel of the former President has sparked several headlines. Lawyer Nicholas Kaufman claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte wants Harry Roque to stop meddling in his ICC case and to return to the Philippines. Kaufman claimed that a Dutch lawyer allegedly told him that the former President’s spokesman wants to sue the Dutch government over the transfer of the custody of Duterte.
