Frankie Pangilinan Steps Into Public Service as Youth Committee Chair of Senate Spouses Foundation
FRANKIE PANGILINAN – Singer-songwriter Frankie “Kakie” Pangilinan has embraced a new role outside the music scene as she officially joined the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. as Chairperson of the Committee on Youth.
Singer-songwriter Frankie “Kakie” Pangilinan, daughter of Senator Kiko Pangilinan and Megastar Sharon Cuneta, has officially joined the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI), marking another milestone for the young artist.
Both Sharon and Frankie proudly shared photos on Instagram of the oath-taking ceremony, where Frankie was formally inducted as Chairperson of the Committee on Youth. The oath was administered by Senate President Chiz Escudero, whose wife, actress and fashion icon Heart Evangelista, currently leads the foundation.

“So proud of my baby girl!!!” Sharon wrote in her Instagram post, celebrating her daughter’s latest accomplishment.
Well-wishes immediately poured in for Frankie, with friends and fellow celebrities like Judy Ann Santos, Bianca Gonzalez, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Darla Sauler leaving congratulatory messages in the comments.
In her post, Frankie also highlighted some of the other appointees within the organization. Among them were Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, wife of Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, and Gladys Cruz, wife of Senator Joel Villanueva.
The Senate Spouses Foundation has long been an avenue for the partners and family members of legislators to engage in charitable projects and advocacies. The inclusion of Frankie, who is known for her outspoken views on social issues and her passion for youth empowerment, signals the group’s openness to younger voices in pushing its initiatives forward.
Other prominent members of the SSFI include television host and actress Mariel Padilla, wife of Senator Robin Padilla, and Ciara Sotto, daughter of Senate Minority Leader Tito Sotto.
Frankie’s father, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, recently returned to the Senate after serving multiple terms from 2001 to 2013 and again from 2016 to 2022. His presence in the legislative chamber, combined with Frankie’s new role in the foundation, underscores the family’s continued involvement in both governance and civic affairs.
With Frankie at the helm of the Youth Committee, many are eager to see how her fresh perspective and strong voice for young Filipinos will influence the Senate Spouses Foundation’s future projects.
