Pres. Bongbong Marcos Not Into Allegiance w/ People Causing Filipinos’ Suffering
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Chief Executive expressed his pursuit to hold the people behind the suffering of the Filipinos accountable.
Pres. Marcos is currently halfway of his term. A week ago, he delivered his 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa physically in front of the senators, the members of the House of Representatives, and his Cabinet secretaries. Countless Filipinos also watched the streaming and live coverage of the SONA 2025.

During the Marcos SONA 2025, Pres. Bongbong Marcos touted the accomplishments of the government which include achieving his campaign promise of affordable rice for the Filipino people. According to him, the government was able to show the people that it is achievable without placing the farmers in the losing end.

Marcos Jr. vowed that affordable rice will be made available nationwide. Prior to his 4th SONA, he has repeatedly assured that the P20 per kilo rice is “here to stay”. In his speech for his annual address, he also mentioned the increase in the production of agricultural products like banana and corn among others. He vowed to boost the coconut industry in the country.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also aired his plans for the education sector which remains at the center of the government’s priorities. According to him, there will be digitization of schools, more classrooms will be built, and teachers will get additional pay for their workload excess and overtime.

During his 4th SONA, Pres. Bongbong Marcos did not hesitate to mentioned the failed flood control projects in the country. He also took swipe at the government officials who allegedly pocket the money of the people through kickbacks and may other means.
Recently, during a podcast interview in which a clip was posted by the Presidential Communications Office online, Pres. Bongbong Marcos aired his belief that “somebody has to answer” for the suffering of the Filipino people. He also expressed his belief that the people should know.
“Yung dinadaanan na hirap na dinadanas ng ating mga kababayan, they have to be told who is responsible, and somebody has to answer for their suffering,” the President said.

Based on the post, during the podcast interview, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked what if those people who are responsible for the suffering of the Filipinos turned out to be his political allies. The Chief Executive apologized and said he does not anymore want an allegiance with these people.
“Sorry na lang. Hindi na kita kaalyado kung ganyan ang ginagawa mo, ayaw na kitang kaalyado,” he said.
Following the 4th SONA of the President, several people were asked about their reaction to his report. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano claimed it is the first time to hear that a flood control project caused the flooding in the country.
