Ai Ai delas Alas Schools Gen Z Critics Over GMA Gala 2025 Look
AI AI DELAS ALAS – Veteran comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas has a message for her Gen Z critics: her fearless fashion sense is nothing new—it’s been part of her life for decades.
Ai Ai delas Alas has responded to Gen Z netizens who poked fun at her daring attire during the GMA Gala 2025, making it clear that her bold fashion sense has deep roots.
The Comedy Queen took to Facebook to address the criticism, sharing that her love for eccentric outfits began in the late 1980s, long before she became a household name. She recalled her days performing in local bars and clubs, where elaborate costumes were part of her identity.

“HELLO mga Gen Z ‘s.. mga baby girls, baby boys, little baklets and little tibambolbees, inform lang kayo ng MAMA AI AI nyo .. itong mga pictures nato mga 1987-1989 nag work ako as sing along master sa Music Box sa QC kung saan kasama ko si Arnel Ignacio,” she wrote, sharing throwback photos from her early career.
She reminisced about performing in venues like Studio Bar in Malate and spending nights at the iconic Subway Disco, where her unconventional style often drew applause.
Ai Ai pointed out that her signature look came long before today’s younger generation—and even before some of their parents were around.

Ai Ai delas Alas further clarified that her style isn’t inspired by anyone else, not even international stars.
Hahaha #feelingera.”
Signing off her post with a witty “Ok bye,” she added the hashtags #iwasbornthisway, #gustokoto, #walangmakakapigil, and #gmagala2026seeyoupagbuhaypako—proving that her confidence in her unique style remains unshaken.
