Rhian Ramos Reveals the Toll of Playing Mitena

The enchanting universe of Encantadia makes a much-anticipated comeback on television with Sang’gre, where Rhian Ramos takes center stage as Mitena—the formidable and ice-cold queen of Mine-a-ve.
Rhian’s portrayal of the villainess is both captivating and intense, as she unleashes Mitena’s fury, vengeance, and pain on those who dare to challenge her. In Sang’gre, the GMA primetime fantaserye, she fully immerses herself in the role, delivering a performance packed with emotional depth and raw energy.
Rhian was deeply honored to be chosen as the first and only option for the character. She didn’t hesitate when the role was offered to her. On Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she revealed how she shaped Mitena’s personality: “Naniniwala ako na walang taong pinapanganak ng masama… Iyon ang ginamit ko for Mitena.” She also adjusted her voice to a deeper tone, emphasizing the regal authority of her character.
The role was demanding, both emotionally and physically. Portraying intense feelings like rage and sorrow for two years left an impact on her well-being. After filming, she even opted for a Botox procedure.
“Masyado akong nagalit. Gusto ko hindi gumagalaw like ayaw ko nang magalit,” Rhian admitted.
She added, “Gusto ko na lang magpa-spa, magpaganda… so that’s a long time to be angry every day.”
Outside the screen, Rhian is a loving partner to Sam Verzosa, especially during his tough loss in the mayoral race. “Iniyakan niya din ako but it’s understandable… Saka every day niyang pinaghirapan iyon,” she shared.
Despite life’s challenges, the couple remains strong. Marriage has become a more serious topic between them. “Yes, we talk about it… it comes up at a random moment,” Rhian said.
Her bond with Sam’s family has also deepened. Their recent European trip gave her the chance to feel a larger, livelier family dynamic, something she cherishes.
With her powerful performance and her strong relationship, Rhian is balancing career and love with grace and strength.
