Despite Duterte’s “Conditions”, PNP Chief Nicolas Torre Continues Preparation for Possible Boxing Match

Davao City acting Mayor Baste Duterte was one of those who criticized the appointment of Torre to the PNP. According to him, the promotion was allegedly not merit-based but based on favor. The Duterte family was angered after Torre played a role in the controversial arrest and the transfer of custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.
