Congressman Dino Yulo said that only toilet bowls were left in a house as four houses were destroyed in Hinigaran due to ‘Crising’
Only toilet bowls were left in a house as heavy rains brought by Southwest Monsoon and Severe Tropical Storm ‘Crising’ caused severe flooding in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Negros Occidental 5th District Representative Dino Yulo posted a photo on his Facebook page on Saturday, July 19, 2025, saying only toilet bowls were left in a house as four houses were destroyed in Sitio Camplar, Barangay Bato, Hinigaran.
“Basin na lang ang nabilin sa Apat ka mga Balay diri sa Sitio Camplar Brgy. Bato, Hinigaran,” Cong. Yulo said in his post.

According to a report by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), the worst-hit area in Negros Occidental due to Habagat and ‘Crising’ as of 11:00 a.m. Friday is Hinigaran where 1,094 families or 4,229 individuals were affected; followed by Sipalay City where 550 families or 1,571 individuals were affected; and Kabankalan City where 419 families or 1,714 individuals were affected.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Saturday that ‘Crising’ has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 10:00 a.m., but the southwest monsoon will still drench parts of the Philippines.
Several areas in the Philippines will experience heavy rainfall due to Habagat despite the continued movement of ‘Crising’ away from the country. The Habagat is expected to bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas:
- Saturday: Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Benguet, Abra, Zamboanga del Norte, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands
- Sunday: Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Zamboanga del Norte
- Monday: Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Visayas
