Heated Online Debate Erupts After Janus del Prado’s Message to Awra Briguela
JANUS DEL PRADO – Actor Janus del Prado recently made waves online after criticizing Awra Briguela for actions he believes are harming the LGBTQ+ community.
Janus del Prado has stirred discussion online after calling out Awra Briguela over behavior he believes is negatively affecting the LGBTQ+ community. In a direct and impassioned Facebook post, Janus did not hold back in expressing his disappointment, warning that certain attitudes may be fueling backlash and misrepresentation.
Janus opened his post by directly addressing Awra, saying, “Awra. You are doing too much to the point that you are hurting the gay community. People are starting to turn against the entire gay community because of this kind of entitlement. Nadadamay sila sa bashing.” He pointed out that Awra’s actions may be reinforcing harmful stereotypes and making it harder for the community to gain wider acceptance and understanding.

Janus del Prado also highlighted how identity politics, particularly surrounding pronouns and gender identity, might unintentionally diminish the struggles of biological women. “Not to mention overshadowing the identity and attention from biological women, their struggles and their place in society,” Janus wrote.
Drawing comparisons to Western trends, he cautioned against blindly adopting ideologies without assessing their consequences. “Stop acting like you are being oppressed because you are not. Nakigaya lang naman tayo sa pauso ng US and other western countries about the gender alphabet and neo pronouns.”
Janus further criticized what he called the collapse of various systems in the West. “And now, ano nangyayari sa kanila? They are suffering the consequences and starting to reject the whole ideology. It even destroyed Hollywood, Sports and their Education System. Balik na sila sa two gender policy.”

Janus del Prado urged younger LGBTQ+ members to listen to those who came before them. “Makinig kayo sa mga nauna sa inyong Gays like Ricky Reyes. They know better.”
Stressing mutual respect, Janus added, “If you want to call yourself a ‘She’ or a ‘Her’ then go, live and enjoy your life the way you want to. No one’s stopping you. Just don’t expect and force everyone else to play along.”
Finally, he called for accountability within the community: “Please speak up pag wala na sa hulog yung ginagawa ng miyembro ng kumunidad niyo. Don’t be an enabler just because they are a part of your group.”
Janus’s message has sparked both support and criticism, prompting broader discussions about identity, accountability, and representation within the LGBTQ+ movement.
