Queenie Padilla Honors Robin Ahead of Father’s Day
QUEENIE PADILLA – Queenie Padilla expressed admiration for her father Robin Padilla, highlighting his integrity and strong moral values.
A day before Father’s Day, former actress Queenie Padilla offered heartfelt words about her father, actor-turned-senator Robin Padilla. In an intimate interview hosted by her stepmother, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, Queenie described Robin as “not corrupt” and “a living example of a good Muslim.”
The former actress revealed how her father’s influence deeply shaped her spiritual journey. “He’s very charitable. Everybody calls him a bad boy. But deep inside, he’s actually the kindest human being. He is really a living example of a good Muslim,” Queenie shared. She added, “Maybe at a younger age, I wasn’t able to appreciate it […] But Papa’s a big part of my journey to Islam, and I’ll be forever grateful to him.”

When asked about her father’s admirable traits, Queenie didn’t hesitate to list them: “Brave. Responsible. Kind. Provider and not corrupt.” She emphasized her admiration, saying, “Papa is never corrupt. He’s a man of values, principles, morals, and integrity. I’m so proud of him.”
Queenie also looked back on their childhood, highlighting how she and her sister, actress Kylie Padilla, were raised with discipline and strength. “He trained us like actual soldiers. He would wake us up in the morning; we would jog, we would train. And when I turned 15 and my sister was 13 at that time, he brought us to Thailand, and we trained in Muay Thai for three months. We were like boys,” she said with a laugh.

Robin Padilla shares daughters Queenie and Kylie with his ex-wife, Liezl Sicangco, and has two younger daughters with his current wife, Mariel.
Despite the praise, Robin has faced public scrutiny in recent years. He drew criticism for supporting Senate Bill No. 2805, which grants the MTRCB more authority to regulate online content. He was also criticized for controversial comments on spousal rape, which advocacy groups like Gabriela condemned for “perpetuat[ing] machismo” and ignoring women’s rights.
Nevertheless, Queenie’s recent words offered a personal and deeply affectionate perspective of the man she calls her father.
