Paolo Duterte & Sons Take Oath in Davao
PAOLO DUTERTE – Davao City Rep. Paolo “Polong” Duterte and his sons formally assumed their new roles in Davao politics during an oath-taking ceremony.
Paolo Duterte and his two sons, Omar and Rodrigo II, officially took their oaths of office yesterday in a ceremony held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel. The oath-taking was administered by Court of Appeals Justice Jill Rose Jaugan-Lo and witnessed by close family members and supporters.
Rep. Duterte was sworn in again as representative of the first congressional district of Davao City, while his sons assumed their respective positions—Omar as representative of the second congressional district and Rodrigo II as a city councilor.

This marks the first time Omar and Rodrigo II are stepping into public office, following in the political footsteps of their father and grandfather, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
The family outlined key priorities they aim to address in their respective posts, including improvements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and maintaining peace and order in the region.
According to the report, all three Dutertes won by significant margins in the recent elections, reflecting their continued political influence in Davao City.

Despite their electoral success, Paolo Duterte has previously faced controversy, including a past allegation involving the beating of a man for two hours. However, the family remains steadfast in their political roles, focusing on their official duties and responsibilities to their constituents.
As the Duterte political legacy continues through a new generation, the family has reiterated its promise to serve with integrity and prioritize the needs of the people of Davao.
