Pres. Bongbong Marcos Visits Malolos, Bulacan To Campaign for Alyansa Bets
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President mentioned Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar again in the campaign rally of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago.
The Marcos administration backs the senatorial bets under the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago, a grand alliance composed of several political parties in the country including the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, the political party of Pres. Marcos. However, president sister and Senator Imee Marcos left BBM’s senatorial slate.

Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago after the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to her, the actions of the government are not in line with her ideals and principles in life.

Sen. Imee Marcos earned the support of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte in her bid for senatorial reelection. The Vice President also endorses the senatorial candidates of Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar and the PDP-Laban bets. The Alyansa previously maintained that Villar is one of its bets amid the President’s order to probe their family’s water business, the PrimeWater.

Villar is endorsed by both Marcos Jr. and Duterte. The Las Piñas Representative is in the pursuit of exchanging positions with her mother, Sen. Cynthia Villar, who is in her last term as senator. If she wins, Camille will join her brother, Sen. Mark Villar, in the Senate.
The departure of Sen. Marcos from the Alyansa left the team with 11 senatorial candidates. Here are the senatorial bets of the grand alliance:
- Former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos
- Sen. Francis Tolentino
- Sen. Pia Cayetano
- former Sen. Manny Pacquiao
- Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Sen. Lito Lapid
- former Senator Panfilo Lacson
- Sen. Ramon ”Bong” Revilla Jr.
- Deputy Speaker Camille Villar
- former Senator Vicente Sotto III,
- former Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo
However, at the campaign rally of the Alyansa in Batangas City, Pres. Bongbong Marcos did not mention Camille Villar. Based on a report on GMA News, the Chief Executive who leads the campaign events of the grand alliance also did not mention the daughter of business giant Manny Villar at the campaign rally in Dumajug, Cebu.

Meanwhile, based on the report, at the recent campaign sortie of the Alyansa at Malolos, Bulacan, Camille Villar was mentioned again in the endorsement speech of Pres. Bongbong Marcos despite her absence at the event. Aside from Villar, reelectionist Senator Bong Revilla was also not present at the event but he was represented by his wife, Cavite Representative Lani Mercado-Revilla.
Reportedly, Pres. Bongbong Marcos mentioned the name of Camille Villar thrice. In his speech, the President called on the people to vote for all the candidates of the grand alliance for the peace and progress in the country.
“Para po mangyari, upang magka-kapayapaan sa Pilipinas, upang maging makatarungan ang Pilipinas, para po umunlad ang Pilipinas, ‘huwag na po kayong magdalawang isip pa, pagdating po ng Lunes, pag-upo po ninyo, pag-pirma ninyo sa balota, Alyansa straight, Alyansa all the way,” he said.
In Cavite when his sister has yet to officially leave the Alyansa, Pres. Marcos also did not mention the name of Sen. Imee Marcos. Amid the political issues in the country, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that she and Marcos Jr. never fought.
