Rachel Alejandro Opens Her Heart on Final Moments with Dad Hajji
RACHEL ALEJANDRO – Singer Rachel Alejandro opens her heart as she reflects on the final moments she shared with her beloved father, Hajji Alejandro.
Rachel Alejandro recently shared a touching tribute to her late father, music icon Hajji Alejandro, describing him as the center of their family’s universe. Through an emotional post on Instagram, she opened up about her grief and the lasting impact her father had on their lives.
Rachel likened her dad to the “sun” of their family, around whom everyone revolved. “My Dad was our sun and we were the planets, orbiting around him, basking in his warmth and light,” she wrote.

From their childhood days, she recalled how she and her siblings always wanted to be close to him, tagging along to shows, rehearsals, and even poker nights. His presence brought joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging that they cherished deeply.
As they grew older, that admiration never faded. Rachel expressed how even in adulthood, she and her siblings still longed for his company. She described Hajji as a joyful and optimistic man, someone who valued not just success but also his responsibility to family. Since becoming a father at 19, he consistently used his gift of music to provide for his loved ones. No matter how he felt physically, he remained committed to performing, never canceling shows.
Rachel also recalled the difficult period leading up to Hajji’s passing, sharing that despite being in significant pain due to stage 4 colon cancer, he continued to perform with grace. “Every show was a blessing,” she noted, emphasizing the dedication and passion her father had for music and his audience.

In her heartfelt message, Rachel admitted that even after months by his side during hospital stays and home care, she was still unprepared for the moment he passed. “I struggle to grasp living in a universe without our Daddwaps,” she wrote.
Despite her sorrow, Rachel ended her tribute with a promise: to continue making her father proud by living according to his values and giving her all in every performance. “I will now just be singing and dancing with Dad in my dreams,” she concluded.
