IAN DE LEON – Actor Ian de Leon revealed the touching final message he received from his mother, Nora Aunor.
Ian de Leon and his siblings, Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth, expressed their deep gratitude for having been part of the extraordinary life of their mother, the late National Artist and iconic actress, Nora Aunor. The emotional tribute came during the final day of her wake at Heritage Park, as they sat down with the King of Talk, Boy Abunda, on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda aired Monday, April 21.
In the interview, Ian de Leon opened up about the last conversation he had with his mother before her passing. Unable to speak face-to-face due to her hospitalization, their final exchange took place over text. Despite the physical distance, their words carried deep emotion, centered around family, love, and motherhood.

Ian revealed that their conversation began when his mother sent him a heartfelt quote that reflected her enduring love and concern for her children and grandchildren. “Panginoon, kahit saan man mapunta ang aking mga anak, pakiusap, hawakan mo sila, protektahan sa lahat ng panganib at palaging ihatid silang ligtas pauwi,” Nora had written in Filipino. Ian read the message during the interview, visibly moved by the sentiment.
Beyond the prayer, Nora also inquired about her grandchildren, showing her continued affection as a grandmother. She asked Ian to pass on her love—to hug and kiss them on her behalf. In a moment of vulnerability, Nora also apologized to Ian for not being physically present with them during those difficult times.
