Former Pres. Duterte’s Daughter Kitty Daughter Assures him of Strength & Pride
KITTY DUTERTE – The daughter of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte took to social media a heartfelt message for him expressing her pride for being his daughter.
The issue involving the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the war on drugs of the Duterte administration has come a long way and recently took an unexpected turn. Following a series of strong remarks against the ICC and its investigation, former Pres. Duterte was unexpectedly arrested upon his arrival to the Philippines yesterday.
Duterte’s flight landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from Hong Kong. The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Interpol implemented the arrest of the former President. Duterte’s partner, Honeylet Avanceña, tried to convince him not to go with the PNP and the Interpol.
Honeylet stressed that the PNP and the Interpol allegedly have no warrant of arrest. The former President calmed his common-law wife and went with the authorities. He was detained under the custody of the PNP for several hours. According to his youngest daughter, Kitty Duterte, it was an “illegal detention” as there was allegedly no warrant of arrest against the former President.
On several video clips that scattered online, Kitty Duterte and her mother, Honeylet Avanceña, could be seen protecting former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte from the authorities who were ordered to take him to his flight for The Netherlands. However, the night ended with the former President being flown out of the country to face the charges against him at The Hague.
Recently, on her Instagram account, Kitty Duterte posted a heartfelt message for former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She expressed her pride for being his daughter and a Duterte. According to her, the strength he raised her with will never go tamed and she will stand by her promise. She ended her post telling the former President an “I love you”.
Previously, following the plane carrying the former President leaving the country, Pres. Bongbong Marcos broke his silence on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
