Ivana Alawi Drops Truth Bomb on Political Endorsements
IVANA ALAWI – Youtube star Ivana Alawi admitted that she is extremely selective when it comes to endorsing a politician.
Filipina actress and content creator Ivana Alawi has reiterated that she has no intentions of entering politics, despite receiving numerous offers for political endorsements. During a thanksgiving party she hosted for the entertainment media at Vinta Modern Cantina in Quezon City on March 7, Ivana openly shared her stance on political matters.
Ivana admitted that many politicians have approached her for endorsements, but she is highly selective in making such decisions. “Pero napakaarte ko at napaka-choosy ko pagdating sa pulitiko,” she said candidly.
She emphasized that her considerations go beyond personal gain. “This isn’t about me, or something that will benefit me or my family. This is for the Philippines, for our fellow citizens. What will truly help improve our country?” she stated.
Addressing the financial aspect of political endorsements, Ivana clarified that money is not her motivation. “Kung pera, e ‘di sana lahat kinuha ko, e, ‘di ang yaman-yaman ko na. Hindi, e, hindi siya sa pera. It’s what do you believe in and who do you think will make the country a better place.”
She further stressed her careful approach when it comes to supporting politicians. “Sa mga senator, congressman, napaka-choosy ko kasi baka gusto lang niya umupo para sa sarili niya, hindi naman para sa ating mga kababayan.”
When asked about her own political ambitions, Ivana remained firm in her stance against running for office. Last year, speculation arose about her potential candidacy in the 2025 elections. However, she dismissed the idea, saying, “Bakit naman ako tatakbo sa ngayon? Wala ako alam sa politics, wala ako alam sa paggawa ng batas. And siguro kung papasok man ako sa ganyan, dapat mag-aral man lang ako ng three to four years, because I don’t want to put our country at risk.”
Despite her passion for helping others, Ivana made it clear that she does not see political office as a requirement for making a difference. “Hindi naman ako namimigay para tumakbo, at hindi mo rin kailangan tumakbo para makapagbigay.”
In conclusion, she firmly stated, “Ang pagtakbo talaga is for the country. ‘Yung may mga magaganda kang gagawing batas para mapaganda ang bansa natin. Kailangan natin lumaban at lumevel up. So ‘yun, hindi talaga ako tatakbo kasi wala naman akong alam diyan.”
