Undeniably, the political arena is currently filled with a lot of huge issues ahead of the 2025 Midterm Elections. The Filipino populace was shocked by the division between the Dutertes and the Marcoses which are two (2) of the most powerful political clans in the country.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte made a great tandem that snatched double victories during the 2022 Elections. However, since the Vice President left the helm of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Marcos cabinet, the BBM-Sara supporters saw tirades from the VP to the Chief Executive.
Currently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos is earning criticisms over the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He was arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP) last March 11. On the same day, he was flown out of the country for the transfer of his custody to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Bongbong Marcos, the Lakas-CMD, the National Unity Party (NUP), the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and the Nacionalista Party merged and formed the grand alliance.

Based on a report on Inquirer, the Senator brushed it off recalling she was the one who said she’ll focus on investigating the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
“K lang, tutal sinabi ko na, na ang aking tututukan ay ang pagsisiyasat ng mga pangyayaring labag sa batas noong kinuha si FPRRD,” she said.
