Paris, Olympics Gold Medalist Carlos Yulo Speaks on Importance of Heavy Reason To Achieve Goal
CARLOS YULO – The Filipino gymnastics legend who won two (2) gold medals in the Paris, Olympics has an advice for the youth who also want to be successful in life like him.
The success of Carlos in the 2024 Paris, Olympics has inspired countless Filipino youths who also want to be successful like. Also called Caloy, the gymnastics legend did not only achieved his long-time goal of being an Olympics medalist but he also brought so much pride and honor to the Philippines and the Filipino people.
Carlos Yulo won two (2) gold medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He set the record as the first male Filipino athlete to win a gold medal in the Olympics and the first Filipino athlete to win not just one but two Olympics gold medals.
Following the success of Caloy and Pinay boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas who won bronze medals in the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Philippines was hailed as the best-performing Southeast Asian nation in the Olympics. President Bongbong Marcos has penned a congratulatory message for Carlos.
Not only the government but as well as several private entities wanted to reward Caloy for the honor he has given the country. Here are some of the cash rewards, incentives, and gifts that were extended to the Paris, Olympics double gold medalist:
- ₱20 million from the Office of the President
- ₱32 million condo from Megaworld
- ₱14 million from the House of Representatives
- ₱20 million from the Philippine Sports Commission as mandated by the National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act
- ₱10 million from sports patron Manny V. Pangilinan
- ₱5 million from ArenaPlus
- ₱3 million from Megaworld
- ₱3 million from the Senate
- ₱3 million from Bounty Fresh
- ₱2 million from the City of Manila
- Land Cruiser Prado from Toyota Philippines
- Tiggo 7 Pro SUV from Chery Auto
Countless Filipino children wants to be like Carlos Yulo. Recently, the Pinoy pride was asked of his advice for the youth. Based on an article on Bandera, Caloy advises that you should really know what you want to achieve. Goal setting is important as per the Paris, Olympics double gold medalist.
“Alamin po talaga natin kung ano ‘yung gusto natin mapa-study, education, sports or work. Kahit isang bagay, pinakamabigat na dahilan kung bakit natin gusto i-achieve ‘yung goal na ‘yun,” Caloy said.
Carlos Yulo said that in the process of achieving one’s goal, it cannot be avoided that the Almighty will allow some challenges and the time may do the same, thus, it is important to really have a heavy reason why you want to achieve your goal.
“Kasi over the time po sa process di maiiwasan po talaga na i-challenge ka po ni Lord, ng panahon, kaya para sa akin mabigat na dahilan kung bakit gusto mo siyang gusto gawin,” he said.
Based on the article, Carlos Yulo is now back on his training. He is looking forward to join the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. Meanwhile, the Paris, Olympics double gold medalist still has a lot of competitions and training camps prior to it.
