Palace Speaks on Side of Pres. Bongbong Marcos over FA-50 Fighter Jet Crash
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President want an immediate investigation on the Philippine Air Force (PAF) fighter jet that crashed in Bukidnon.
The recent incident involving a fighter jet of the Philippine Air Force left countless people heartbroken. One of the aircrafts of the PAF went missing during a Tactical Night Operation exercise and has never returned to Mactan, Cebu.

The Philippine Air Force, the aerial warfare service branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, usually conducts Tactical Night Operation exercise. Most often, the operation is done in support of the ground troops.

Recently, several aircrafts of the PAF participated in the Tactical Night Operation exercise in support of the ground troops. Unfortunately, not all of the aircrafts were able to return safely. An FA-50 went missing. Reportedly, it lost communication with the rest of the aircrafts involved in the tactical operations minutes before the aircrafts reached the target area.
The Philippine Air Force said that the other aircrafts repeatedly tried to establish contact with the missing FA-50 but failed until they reached Mactan, Cebu. The PAF assured that they were using all the available resources to find the missing FA-50.
The following day, the authorities found the missing FA-50 of the Philippine Air Force in the mountains of Bukidnon. The aircraft and the bodies of two (2) pilots were found in Mount Kalatungan, Bukidnon province. The mountain is the 5th tallest mountain in the country.

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Eastern Mindanao Command commander Lt. Gen. Luis Rex said that the bodies were found near the wreckage. The Air Force stressed that its pilots are capable to fly an aircraft even at night.
Recently, the Palace spoke on the stand of Pres. Bongbong Marcos regarding the unfortunate incident. Based on a report on GMA News, Malacañang press officer Undersecretary Attorney Claire Castro said that the President wants an immediate investigation.
”Agarang imbestigasyon din po ang inutos ng ating Pangulo diyan,” the Palace press officer said.
Countless netizens were saddened as one of the pilots of the crashed fighter jet was set to get married this March.
