Pres. Bongbong Marcos Leads Alyansa Campaign Event in Cavite
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President made no mention of his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, at the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago campaign rally in Cavite.
The 2025 Midterm Elections is fast approaching and the campaign season is nearing its peak. The different political parties are busy with the campaign events to reach more people and encourage more Filipino voters to trust them with their votes.

For this year’s election, what seems like the first time is the very first time that several big political parties merged to form a grand alliance. The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) which is the political party of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, the Lakas-CMD, the National Unity Party (NUP), the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and the Nacionalista Party formed the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos leads the endorsement of the senatorial bets of the Alyansa. One of the senator reelectionist in the alliance’s senatorial slate is presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos.

Here are the senatorial bets of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago:

- Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Senator Pia Cayetano
- Sen. Lito Lapid
- Sen. Francis Tolentino
- Senator Ramon ”Bong” Revilla Jr.
- former Sen. Manny Pacquiao
- former Senator Panfilo Lacson
- former Senator Vicente Sotto III,
- Deputy Speaker Camille Villar
- former Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo
However, following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Sen. Imee Marcos skipped the Alyansa campaign sortie in Tacloban. According to her, she cannot accept what was done to former Pres. Duterte and she wants to find a way to enlighten the Filipinos.

Sen. Marcos led the Senate committee hearing on the arrest of former Pres. Duterte. It gathered several top officials in the government as well as members of the Marcos cabinet. After the inquiry, Sen. Marcos asked why the Philippines surrendered Duterte, a Filipino.
Recently, Sen. Imee Marcos skipped another BBM-led campaign rally of the Alyansa which was held in the province of Cavite. She stressed that she wants to focus in investigating the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, while Pres. Bongbong Marcos did not directly speak on the absence of his sister, he did not mention her at the rally.

Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos talked about all the bets of the Alyansa except for Sen. Imee Marcos. He mentioned Sen. Cynthia Villar’s daughter, Camille Villar, despite her absence at the campaign rally. Sen. Pia Cayetano who skipped the campaign sortie last week joined the event in Cavite.
Senators Marcos and Cayetano were absent at the Tacloban sortie of the alliance. Malacañang previously spoke on the absence of Sen. Imee Marcos and the other Alyansa bets at the Tacloban sortie of the alliance.
