Pres. Bongbong Marcos Pens Humorous Birthday Message for Son Sandro
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President greeted his first-born son, Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos, on his birthday.
The Marcoses are among the most popular clans in the Philippine political arena. Two (2) presidents of the country came from the clan — the late former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and his namesake, current Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Aside from Pres. Bongbong Marcos, his sister, Imee Marcos who is now seeking re-election, is also one of the current lawmakers in the Senate. The President’s eldest son, Sandro, also holds a post in their bailiwick, Ilocos Norte. He won as the representative of the province’s 1st congressional district in 2022.
In 2022, it was a double victory for the Marcoses as the father and son both won in their respective election races. It was their return to Malacañang amid the huge controversy that surrounds their family over the regime of Marcos Sr.
Recently, Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Sandro Marcos turned 31 years old. On social media, Pres. Bongbong Marcos penned a humorous birthday greeting for his eldest son.
“The happiest of birthdays to my first born, Sandro. In keeping with tradition, you are my favorite son for the day. However, you don’t get the day off. Continue the hard work! We love you,” the Chief Executive wrote in his post.
It was Sandro’s first time to run for a seat in the House of Representatives in 2022. His complete name is Ferdinand Alexander Araneta Marcos III. Aside from the Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative, the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos have two (2) younger sons, Joseph Simon and William Vincent.
Previously, Rep. Sandro Marcos was vocal when Vice Pres. Sara Duterte threw tirades against Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his leadership. Then, the Vice President also recalled her statement to Sen. Imee Marcos allegedly telling her that she would exhume and throw Marcos Sr.’s body into the West Philippine Sea if the attacks against her don’t stop.
The Presidential Son is one of the lawmakers in the House of Representatives who approved the impeachment of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
