Pres. Bongbong Marcos Issues Message on Eid’l Fitr Celebration
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President emphasized the value of “living with compassion” in his message on Eid’l Fitr.
There are several celebrations that are marked as holidays in the Philippines every year. Two (2) of these are Muslim celebrations in line with the Ramadan, a Muslim celebration characterized by fasting, reflection, communal prayer, and increased devotion for Muslims across the globe. The end of Ramadan is marked by the celebration called Eid’l Fitr which is held today.

Eid’l Fitr is one of the 5 holidays in the Philippines in the month of April as declared by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The Muslim celebration starts on the eve of Monday, March 31, 2025 until Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The Philippine President declared April 1 as a regular holiday.

Classes in all levels in schools as well as work in both public and private sectors are cancelled on Tuesday, April 1, in celebration of the Eid’l Fitr. Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos released his message on the Muslim celebration marks the end of Ramadan.

In his message, the President described Ramadan as “a time of dignified worship, deep reflection, and solemn prayer. He stressed that it is more than just a celebration but a desire showing a shared community and strengthening the bonds of family and friends.
On the celebration of Eid’l Fitr, Pres. Bongbong Marcos called on the Filipinos to continue to draw inspiration in offering service as well as uplifting those who are in need. He also called on the people to help find joy in those are looking for it.
According to Marcos Jr., it is only through “living with compassion and inclusivity” can the people draw understanding the life that the Prophet Muhammad wanted to live — “a life where harmony and love prevail upon us all”.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos called on the Filipinos to not forger our responsibilities to each other and to act with kindness to one another. The Chief Executive called on the Pinoys to “embody the virtues of dedication and faith”. Currently, the Philippines is facing political turmoil following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Countless Filipinos call on the government to return Duterte back to the Philippines. Amid the issue, at the founding anniversary celebration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Pres. Bongbong Marcos said the Philippine government strives for a government that acts and serves with integrity.
