Sen. Grace Poe Pushes for Immediate Passage of Revised Animal Welfare Act
GRACE POE – The Senator called on the locals in Murcia, Negros Occidental to help find justice for dog, TikTok, who was shot with Indian arrows.
Countless netizens were enraged when photos of a dog named TikTok circulated on social media. The poor dog in the province of Negros Occidental was shot with Indian arrows five times. The online community called for justice for TikTok.

TikTok was shot with five (5) Indian arrows at Hda. Puyas, Blumentritt, Murcia in Negros Occidental by still unidentified person(s). A lot of people and some animal groups were quick to push for ways in the pursuit to give justice to the dog for what was done to it.

It was the animal welfare group BACH Project PH that immediately went to rescue and help the dog be brought for veterinary care. TikTok underwent a surgery and received anti-tetanus shots, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicine, and pain relievers to help its recovery.
TikTok is currently under a close monitoring. Laser therapy is also done on the dog for seven days to speed up the healing of its wounds and reduce the inflammation.
In the pursuit to find the people responsible behind what happened to the dog, several individuals put up a reward to help locate the individuals behind the incident. Here are some of the pledges awaiting the person who can help find the suspects:

Several known personalities also reacted to the issue of the dog shot with Indian arrows. One of them is Senator Grace Poe.

Based on a report on Inquirer, Sen. Grace Poe urged the locals in the area to help find the people who shot the dog with Indian arrows. She stressed that those individuals deserve to be punished under the law.
“Such cruelty to an innocent creature has no place in our civilized society,” Sen. Poe said.
Based on the report, Sen. Grace Poe urged the immediate passage of the revised Animal Welfare Act. She stressed that it will boost the existing law on animal welfare and help the barangays become more responsive against animal cruelty.
“There is still time to pass this when Congress returns to session and we hope our colleagues will not let pass this chance to do a compassionate act,” the Senator said.
