Actor Gabby Concepcion Gave Sharon Cuneta “Friendship Ring”
GABBY CONCEPCION – The actor expressed his gratitude to Megastar Sharon Cuneta for their cherishing the friendship ring he gave her.
Some former couples in the Philippine entertainment industry managed to reconcile and get back to their friendship. Among them are Gabby and Sharon who even recently did a concert tour together in the United States and Canada.
Sharon and Gabby first worked together in their debut film Dear Heart in 1981. They were first on-screen partners until a romantic relationship sparked between them and led them to become lovers and to get married. The two (2) celebrities officially tied the knot 1984 in Manila Cathedral.
In April 1985, Sharon and Gabby welcomed their daughter, KC. However, in 1987, the two (2) celebrities legally separated. Their daughter grew up living with the Megastar and her husband, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan. The politician treats her like his very own daughter.
KC Concepcion is close to both of her parents despite their separation. Sharon Cuneta even said that she, Gabby Concepcion, and KC should have remained a family had the circumstances were different.
There were also instances when Gabby and Sharon had rough patches in their ties after they have separated. Meanwhile, the recent events showed that all is well between the former couple. They were together in their Dear Heart concert tour in the United States and Canada in October to November 2024.
Based on an article on Pep, last November 23, Gabby Concepcion gave Sharon Cuneta a “friendship ring”. The said ring was worn by the Megastar during her endorsement event last January 30, 2025. The actor is happy that she is wearing the ring he gave her.
“I think yung pagbibigay ng ring is very powerful… From that point on until now, natutuwa ako, minsan nakikita ko sa reels niya — may nagpapadala sa akin na parati niyang hawak yung ring,” Gabby said.
Gabby Concepcion expressed his gratitude to Sharon Cuneta for “cherishing that friendship”. Previously, Sharon said that she and Gabby have not been in touch since their last concert.
