Derek Ramsay, a well-known actor in the Philippines, recently had a witty comeback to a netizen who falsely claimed that he is not the father of Baby Liana. The actor took to social media to address the surprising assertion, which quickly caught the attention of his followers.
On Thursday, February 20, Derek posted a heartwarming video on Instagram featuring himself, his wife Ellen Adarna, and their baby girl, Liana. However, instead of focusing on the sweet family moment, a netizen left a shocking comment, claiming that Derek was not Liana’s biological father.
“That’s not his baby. It was on the news that he did a DNA test and he wasn’t the baby daddy” the netizen alleged.
Derek, known for his sharp humor, swiftly responded with a sarcastic yet amusing retort. “OMG! The DNA test was sent ba to you? Kaya pala hindi ko nakuha,” he quipped, leaving many netizens entertained by his reaction.
Many of Derek’s fans and followers were also taken aback by the baseless claim, with some questioning where the netizen got such information. Others defended Derek, affirming that Baby Liana is indeed his child with Ellen Adarna.
It can be recalled that Derek and Ellen welcomed Baby Liana in October 2024. Since then, Ellen has shared several glimpses of Derek being a devoted and loving father. Despite their joy, the couple initially chose to keep their pregnancy private.
“I just didn’t announce because I don’t need to,” Ellen previously explained, adding that she preferred a quiet and peaceful pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Derek is also a father to Austin, his son with ex-wife Mary Christine Jolly. Ellen, on the other hand, has a son named Elias Modesto from her previous relationship with actor John Lloyd Cruz.
Despite the rumors, Derek and Ellen continue to enjoy their journey as parents, proving that their love for Baby Liana remains strong and undeniable.
