HOLIDAYS 2025 PHILIPPINES – Below is the list of the regular and special non-working days in the country this year due to various events.

Undeniably, every year, aside from the personal occasions, among those that many people look forward to are the holidays. These days can mean different among many individuals. To a lot of people, these days mean relaxation and extended rest as there is no school or work.

In other cases, most especially in the case of those who usually have busy schedules at work, the holidays are the perfect time to catch up with family and friends, go on a road trip or adventure, push through with the much-awaited out-of-town or out-of-the-country trip, and a lot more.

The holidays in the Philippines are usually either a regular holiday wherein all classes in all levels and work in both private and public sectors are suspended or a special non-working day that cancels work as well. In the case of employees who report to work during a regular holiday or a special non-working day, they are entitled to an extra pay based on the holiday pay rules in the Philippines.

The holidays are based on the declaration of Malacanang. Prior to the end of 2024, the Palace has released a proclamation containing the list of holidays 2025 in the Philippines.

Bongbong Marcos

Executive secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority given by Pres. Bongbong Marcos affixed his signature the Proclamation No. 727 which stated the holidays 2025 in the Philippines.

Based on the proclamation, here are the regular holidays and special non-working and working days this 2025:

  • April 17 – Maundy Thursday
  • April 18 – Good Friday
  • May 1 (Thursday) – Labor Day
  • June 12 (Thursday) – Independence Day
  • August 25 (Last Monday of August) – National Heroes Day
  • November 30 (Sunday) – Bonifacio Day
  • December 25 (Thursday) – Christmas Day
  • December 30 (Tuesday) – Rizal Day
  • August 21 (Thursday) – Ninoy Aquino Day
  • November 1 (Saturday) – All Saints Day
  • • December 8 (Monday) – Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
  • December 31 (Wednesday) – Last Day of the Year
  • February 25 (Tuesday) – EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary
  • January 29 (Wednesday) – Chinese New Year
  • April 19 – Black Saturday
  • October 31 (Friday) – All Saints’ Day Eve
  • December 24 (Wednesday) – Christmas Eve
