John Lloyd Cruz Praises Smooth Co-Parenting W/ Ellen Adarna
JOHN LLOYD CRUZ – Actor John Lloyd Cruz described his co-parenting arrangement with Ellen Adarna as a blessing, saying, “Sobrang swerte ko.”
John Lloyd Cruz recently opened up about the harmonious co-parenting setup he shares with former partner Ellen Adarna for their six-year-old son, Elias. Speaking to The Philippine STAR, Cruz expressed his gratitude for their successful arrangement, emphasizing their excellent dynamics and lack of issues with scheduling or parenting responsibilities.
The actor acknowledged that while co-parenting is often associated with challenges, his experience with Adarna has been largely positive. He considers himself fortunate, noting that everything runs smoothly in their current setup.
However, Cruz admitted that achieving their harmonious relationship as co-parents did not come without difficulties. He candidly shared that they faced challenges before reaching their stable dynamic.
According to the report, Cruz also offered insights into the broader concept of co-parenting, explaining that it isn’t limited to biological parents. He emphasized the significance of having a supportive parent figure who can share responsibilities and be part of the child’s life. He encouraged others to approach co-parenting with patience and an open mind, allowing time for adjustments.
In a heartwarming anecdote, Cruz revealed how Elias embraced the arrival of his baby sister from Adarna’s new family. Initially hesitant, Elias eventually warmed up to the idea, even bringing home a painting he made as a gift for his sibling.
Since their split in 2019, both Cruz and Adarna have moved on to new relationships. Adarna married actor Derek Ramsay in 2021, and the couple welcomed their first child in October 2024. Meanwhile, Cruz confirmed his relationship with Isabel Santos in 2023.
Despite their separate paths, Cruz and Adarna’s co-parenting journey has remained strong, a testament to their shared commitment to Elias. Cruz credits this positive relationship with bringing meaningful changes to his life, proving that successful co-parenting can create a supportive and loving environment for children.
