GSIS MPL FLEX 2024 – You may apply for a Multi-Purpose Loan to GSIS even if you have posted only one (1) monthly premium.

There are two (2) giant social insurance entities in the Philippines — the Social Security System (SSS) and the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). There are millions of Filipinos who are SSS members and there are also millions of people who are GSIS members. Both of the social insurance giant has several offers for its members.

The Government Service Insurance System or more popularly called GSIS has several loan offers. Aside from the GSIS Calamity Loan, the social insurance giant also offers the Multipurpose Loan Flex, a cash loan offer that is similar to the original MPL offer of the state entity but with a major difference on the qualifications for application.

GSIS MPL Flex 2024

Under the GSIS MPL Flex, you do not need to have posted at least three (3) monthly premiums to qualify for the loan offer. Member-borrowers who have posted at least one (1) monthly premium may apply for the loan. Here are the qualifications for application:

  • not on leave of absence without pay at the time of application
  • has no pending administrative case and/or criminal case; Provided however, that if the pending administrative case or charge is for a light offesnse, the borrower shal remain eligible
  • agency status is not “Suspended”
  • has at least one (1) month premium contributions for both Personal Share and Government Share at the time of application
  • has no GFAL account in default
  • resulting net take-home pay after loan availment is not lower than the amount required under the General Appropriations Act, after all required monthly obligations have been deducted

Under the GSIS MPL Flex, a member-borrower may “avail up to 14x of his basic monthly salary”. The loan is payable between one (1) year up to 15 years. Here is a guide on the loanable amounts based on the Paid Premium Contribution:
