Reportedly, the case under the Civil Case 0006 accused Cruz, in connivance with the Marcoses, of purchasing assets with values not proportionate to their legal income. The following are the residential properties cited in the case:

  • two (2) residential lots and two condominium units in Baguio City
  • a residential building in Makati
  • a parcel of land and six condominium units in California, United States
  • a residential land in Metro Manila

Based on the report, the Sandiganbayan junked the P276-million ill-gotten wealth case against former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and their associate due to inordinate delay and violation of the due process.

According to the 30-page resolution released by the Sandiganbayan, the state prosecutors did not oppose the motion filed by the Marcoses seeking to dismiss the ill-gotten wealth case against them. The anti-graft court said that even the “the plaintiff tends to agree with the dismissal of the case when it emphasized that there are no more allegations against the estate of Marcos”.

Last September 29, Pres. Bongbong Marcos honored his late father on his 35th death anniversary. He expressed his hope that he has made his late father proud.
