Santa Rosa Rep. Dan Fernandez Slams Drug Test Dare of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte
DAN FERNANDEZ – The Santa Rosa City Representative tagged the drug test dare of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as a “diversionary tactic”.
The recent pronouncements of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has caused disappointment on countless people while there are also those who showed support on the moves of the VP. She recent fired out heated remarks against Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Vice Pres. Duterte gave Pres. Marcos a “one” rating when she was asked to rate his performance as president from 1-10, with 10 being the highest. According to her, the Chief Executive does not know how to be a president and she has not heard him having a platform.
Furthermore, Vice Pres. Duterte also claimed that she told Senator Imee Marcos that she will throw the remains of the late former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. into the West Philippine Sea if the alleged attacks against her will not stop.
The Vice President also admitted that she had an ill thought against the President after a graduate asked for his watched and was left in an awkward state. According to her, she was ready to give her watch to the graduate but it is only the watch of a vice president and not the president.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) confirmed the claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte saying that a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) asked for the watch of Pres. Marcos during the graduation rites.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, two (2) more people allegedly laughed at what the graduate did which sparked her annoyance causing her to think of an ill thought against the President. The VP said that it was then that she realized that her relationship with him has become toxic.
Following the remarks of Vice Pres. Duterte against Pres. Marcos, several lawmakers called for the VP to undergo a psychological assessment. Duterte expressed openness to undergo a “neuropsychiatric examination” but dared the aspirants of the seats in the House of Representatives to undergo a drug test.
On the dare of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to the aspirants of the House of Representatives, Santa Rosa City Representative Dan Fernandez reacted. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the House Committee on Public Order and Safety Chairperson claimed that it is allegedly a “diversionary tactic” of the Vice President.
Fernandez also accused former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte of allegedly being good in diverting issues. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the former President is allegedly diverting the pronouncements of the Vice President.
“Nililihis tayo. Magaling sila sa ganyan. Kahit nga si former President, magaling maglihis ng mga issue… ‘Yung mga pronouncement ng VP, nililihis niya eh… Ida-divert mo sa isang petty thing para ‘yun ang mapag-usapan,” Santa Rosa City Rep. Dan Fernandez said.
Based on the report, House Committee on Human Rights chairperson Manila 6th District Rep. Bienvenido Abante Jr. agreed to the challenge of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. According to him who is a Bible Pastor, he is also ready to undergo a psychological test and a spiritual test.
Presidential son and Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos expressed his disdain on the statement of Duterte against Marcos Jr. and Marcos Sr. According to him, it is high time to value mental health and he hopes that the Vice President will find mental peace and clarity.
