Pres. Bongbong Marcos Reacts To Claims against “Someone from Malacañang”
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President denied having knowledge about the alleged plot of someone in Malacañang against former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
One of the loudest national issues in the Philippines this year is the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. Alice Guo was dismissed as Bamban, Tarlac mayor as per the Ombudsman’s order amid the accusations linking her to illegal POGOs.
The Ombudsman also ordered for the forfeiture of the retirement benefits of Guo. She was able to flee the Philippines amid multiple complaints in July but, after over a month, she was arrested by the authorities in Indonesia and sent back to the Philippines.
Alice Guo was previously held under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and was detained in the PNP Custodial Facility. Guo occupied the same detention room where former Senator Leila de Lima stayed for over six (6) years.
A non-bailable case was filed against Guo by the Pasig City Court and she was transferred to Pasig City Jail. She shares the regular cell with 6 inmates in the city jail.
Now that Alice Guo is in the hands of the Philippine authorities, she is being escorted to the Senate and House hearings on illegal POGOs. Amid the ongoing investigation, there are new names linked in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations.
Based on a report on GMA News, there is a certain Jennifer Francisco alias Mary Ann Maslog who claimed that the police tapped her to ask Alice Guo to surrender to the authorities. According to the National Bureau of Investigation, Francisco was implicated in the P24-million textbook procurement scam in 1998.
Amid the issue, Sen. Bato dela Rosa claimed that someone from Malacañang allegedly tapped Jennifer Francisco or alias Mary Ann Maslog to link him, Sen. Bong Go, and former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to Alice Guo and the illegal POGO operations.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos reacted to the claim of Sen. Bato dela Rosa. Based on the report, on Dela Rosa’s claim that someone from Malacañang allegedly tapped Maslog to link him, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Bong Go to Alice Guo, the Chief Executive denied having any knowleged about it.
”No, I don’t know anything… I don’t know who this person is,” Pres. Bongbong Marcos said.
Undeniably, Sen. Bato dela Rosa is facing a lot of issues now. Self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa also claimed that Sen. Bato dela Rosa forced him to tag former Sen. Leila de Lima in the drug trade.
