Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Speaks on Conversation w/ Doc Willie Ong

In 2022, Doc Willie Ong ran for vice president. He was the running-mate of former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who took the presidential race. However, both of them did not win the elections two years ago.
Both Doc Willie and former Mayor Isko placed fourth (4) in their vice presidential and the presidential bids, respectively. Meanwhile, visibly, their friendship did not stop after the poll. The former Mayor Manila is one of those who reached out to the doctor following his recent sad announcement.
Countless people were left shocked and saddened after Doc Willie Ong announced that he was diagnosed with cancer. According to the celebrity doctor, he was diagnosed with a 16 x 13 x 12 centimeter sarcoma in his abdomen.
According to Doc Willie, the sarcoma was located behind his heart, in front of his spine. It initially caused him discomfort and diffulty in breathing and swallowing. He initially thought it is because he is aging. However, back pain persisted.
In August 2023, he felt a 10/10 backpain. The doctor said that his doctors said that his tumor is one of the biggest of its kind that they have found. He is undergoing chemotherapy. Meanwhile, the presence of his wife and his children makes him see the positive side of the situation.
Recently, shortly after Doc Willie Ong made the announcement about his cancer diagnosis, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno revealed that they have talked. Based on a report on Pep, the former Manila Mayor admitted that he’s sad over the new but he is hopeful for the doctor’s quick recovery.
“Nalulungkot ako at the same time hoping for his quick recovery. Sabi ko maraming nagmamahal sa kanya at umaasa sa mga gabay at payo niya sa kalusugan na mga kababayan natin,” Isko said.
Furthermore, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno told Doc Willie Ong to be strong and that God has mercy. Based on the article, the former Mayor revealed that he was also able to talk to Dra. Anna Liza Ramoso-Ong. Currently, Doc Willie is undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
