Amid Cancer Battle, Doc Willie Ong Thanks Politicians Who Reached Out To Him
DOC WILLIE ONG – The cardiologist who is now battling against cancer expressed his prayer for President Bongbong Marcos.
Countless Filipinos were shocked and saddened when Doc Willie announced that he has a cancer. He was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, the sarcoma. The 16-centimeter mass was located behind his heart, in front of his spine.
According to Doc Willie, the lump is blocking his esophagus thus, swallowing comes with a struggle for him. His doctors said that a surgery cannot be performed on his lump as there are too many blood vessels attached to it.
In his previous vlogs, the cardiologist revealed that the initial signs he got were difficulty in breathing and swallowing. At first, he attributed it to the aging. He no longer attended medical missions during warm weather and he can feel that there was something heavy in him.
Doc Willie Ong was a vice presidential candidate during the 2022 Elections. He was the running-mate of former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who visited Doc Willie in a hospital in Singapore. He is currently being treated abroad and has just finished his first chemotherapy session.
The cardiologist admitted his belief that the bashings he got during the 2022 Elections campaign which gave him negative thoughts and feelings and stress may have caused his disease. He stressed that he did nothing wrong to anyone and he loves the Filipino people but he was bashed in return.
In his previous vlogs, Doc Willie also expressed that he does not care whether he lives or dies but he will tell the “truth”. He said that he is friends with all the politicians but the politicians in the Philippines are allegedly corrupt. He also expressed his desire for Filipinos battling cancer to have the same health services that he is getting in Singapore.
In his recent vlog, Doc Willie Ong expressed his vision. According to him, in his vision, he is a three (3) year old boy who is trying to be taken by his late mother from the crib. However, there are those that pull his feet. He stressed that his family still needs him and wants him to live and he also has desires for the country.
Doc Willie Ong expressed his prayer for President Bongbong Marcos. He stressed that everyone including the president has a choice and his choice will affect millions of lives.
“I pray for wisdom for President BBM,” the doctor said.
Doc Willie also thanked the politicians who reached out to him. He mentioned Vice President Sara Duterte and Senators Imee Marcos and Bong Go. He also mentioned his gratitude to former Sen. Bam Aquino. The cardiologist revealed that Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gibo Teodoro, his classmate for 12 years from grade school to high school, wished him well.
Doc Willie Ong also said in his vlog that he has very nice conversation with Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos. According to him, it is not about politics and he will share about it one day.
Earlier this September, Doc Willie was in critical condition due to neutropenic sepsis. His blood pressure level dropped and his White Blood Cells (WBC) count was also down to zero.
