Update about Doc Willie Ong amid Fight vs. Sarcoma Cancer
DOC WILLIE ONG – Amid his cancer bout, Doc Willie admitted that he honestly does not want people to pray for him and explained why.
The cancer revelation of Doc Willie has brought shock and sadness among countless Filipinos. He has millions of followers on social media platforms relying to his health videos in preventing the risk of countless diseases and health conditions.
However, amid the experties of Doc Willie in the field of health and medication, the popular cardiologist was hit by sarcoma, a type of cancer that is one of the hardest to treat. The cardiologist admitted that stress is a factor in his health condition.
Doc Willie also admitted his belief that his negative feelings and thoughts from the bashing during the 2022 Elections may have something to do with his disease. He was one of the vice presidential candidates and the 2022 Election was undeniably different from many other elections in the past.
Doc Willie Ong is currently in Singapore where he is receiving his treatment against cancer. He is undergoing chemotherapy which he and his wife, in a recent vlog, explained that it is a cycle. The cardiologist said that as of now, it cannot be determined if he is getting better or not.
Meanwhile, the cardiologist noticed some positive signs like having a healthier skin and its yellowing is gone. He also expressed that there is less tightness in his inferior vena cava and he speculates that the lump may have reduced in size.
“To be honest ayokong nagdadasal kayo [para] sa akin. Ang gusto ko magdasal kayo [para] sa sarili n’yo. Magdasal kayo [para] sa anak ninyo, sa kaaway ninyo, sa magulang ninyo,” Doc Wilie said.
The cardiologist said that he is already okay with people praying for themselves and their loved ones. He stressed that he is only one person. According to him, he is giving his best to be strong for the people.
Previously, Doc Willie Ong expressed his prayer for President Bongbong Marcos. He also expressed his gratitude to the Filipino politicians who reached out to him and expressed their well-wishes for him.
Doc Willie Ong’s sarcoma cannot be treated through a surgery. According to the cardiologist, he was told by his doctors that there are too many blood vessels attached to the mass. The doctors found a 16-centimeter mass which is one of the biggest they have found.
The sarcoma of the cardiologist is blocking his esophagus thus, there is a difficulty in swallowing for him. Meanwhile, in his latest vlog, he said that the pain is no longer 10/10 unless when he has to put in force that it may get to a 9/10 rating.
