Sarcoma Cancer of Doc Willie Ong Brings A “50-50” Prognosis
DOC WILLIE ONG – The cardiologist who is currently fighting against sarcoma, a rare type of cancer, revealed the doctor’s prognosis on his condition.
The Filipino populace was saddened when Doc Willie revealed that he is currently battling sarcoma, a type of cancer. He and his family are now in Singapore where he is admitted in a hospital for his treatment. However, his type of cancer is one of the hardest to treat and is considered rare in nature.
Doc Willie, a vice presidential candidate in 2022 Elections with millions of social media followers for his health tips videos, was diagnosed with sarcoma. A 16-centimeter mass was found “deeply hidden” behind his heart, in front of his spine.
However, according to the cardiologist, his doctors said that the mass is inoperable because there are too many blood vessels connected to it. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy in a hospital in Singapore. Countless people including celebrities and known personalities sent their get well soon messages and prayers for Doc Willie.
However, Doc Willie believes that the negative feelings and thoughts he had from the bashing he got when he ran for vice president in 2022 have caused his cancer. He stressed that he did nothing wrong to the Filipino people whom he loves so much but, in return, he got bashing from many people.
Following his revelation, Vice President Sara Duterte sent a touching message for Doc Willie Ong. His running-mate in the 2022 Elections, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who ran for president, visited the cardiologist who is confined in a hospital in Singapore.
Recently, Doc Willie Ong appeared in a television interview for Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. During the interview, he showed his bald head as he got his hair shaved amid his chemotherapy treatment. The cardiologist previously said that he may have up to five (5) chemo sessions and he recently had his first.
According to Doc Willie, he felt a 10/10 pain from his cancer. When asked about his cancer prognosis, the cardiologist said that it’s 50-50.
“Fifty percent to live a few more months, a year. Fifty percent, anytime, baka hindi na huminga. Parang walang kasiguraduhan,” he said.
During the interview, Doc Willie Ong also revealed that he got an intense kind of pain from cancer. It left him and his wife, Dra. Anna Liza Ramoso-Ong, sleepless.
“I got the worst pain. It’s 10 out of 10, Jessica. Buong gabi hindi kami natutulog ni Doc Liza. Sigaw ako nang sigaw,” he said.
Previously, Doc Willie Ong went critical due to neutropenic sepsis. His White Blood Cell (WBC) count dropped to zero and he had low blood pressure level.
