Pres. Bongbong Marcos Calls PH “Selfie Capital of the World”
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President reacted to the photos of the Philippine government officials with former Mayor Alice Guo.
The Indonesian authorities arrested former Mayor Alice Guo in a rented apartment in Jakarta, Indonesia. Reportedly, the former Mayor left the Philippines and her first stop was Malaysia and she went to Singapore then to Indonesia.
The Philippine authorities informed their foreign counterparts regarding the charges that were filed against Guo in the country. Prior to her arrest, her supposed sister, Shiela Guo, and alleged POGO representative Cassandra Li Ong were detained in Indonesia and brought home to the Philippines.
Ong is under the custody of the House of Representatives. She denied being involved in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in Porac, Pampanga. According to Ong, she is working for the Whirlwind Corp., the company that allegedly leased the building to the illegal POGO hub. However, Cassandra Ong felt dizzy during the House hearing and is currently confined at the hospital.
Shiela Guo also denied that she is involved in the illegal POGO operations in Porac, Pampanga. According to Shiela, Alice Guo is not her biological sister. She claimed that she left the Philippines with Alice and Wesley through multiple boat rides to Malaysia.
Earlier today, Alice Guo arrived in the Philippines on board a private hangar that landed in Pasay City. She was brought to Camp Crame. However, what many netizens noticed is the smiling Alice Guo in several photos. The former Mayor explained it.
Another thing that a lot of people noticed are the Philippine officials’ photos with former Mayor Alice Guo. Countless netizens did not like seeing the authorities smiling in massive photos with the former Mayor.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos reacted to Philippine officials having photos with former Mayor Alice Guo. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive sees nothing wrong about it saying that it is a “part of the new culture”.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also tagged the Philippines as the “selfie capital of the world”. According to him, no one can stop anyone who wants to take a selfie.
“I think that is…part of the new culture now na magpakuha na ng kahit ano. Tapos ipo-post nila, tingnan mo o nakasama ako dito sa team ng ganyan-ganyan,” Pres. Marcos said.
Previously, Pres. Bongbong Marcos thanked and congratulated the Philippine and Indonesian authorities who worked in the arrest of Guo.
