Prior to the arrest of Guo in Indonesia, Cassandra Li Ong who is also accused of illegal POGO link and Shiela Guo was detained in Indonesia and sent back to the Philippines. Ong is currently under the custody of the House of Representatives while Guo is under the Senate.
According to Shiela Guo who claimed that Alice is not her sister, they, together with Wesley Guo, exited the Philippines through “a small boat”. She also denied having knowledge about the illegal POGO operations. She claimed that she went to the Philippines to work in the embroidery business of her “foster father”, the father of the former Mayor of Bamban.
Former Mayor Guo is now under the custody of the Philippine National Police. Previously, the authorities said that she cannot be sent to the Senate unless she will post a bail on the graft and corruption case filed against her by the Tarlac court.
Meanwhile, the Court allowed Alice Guo to attend the Senate hearing today. According to PNP as per a post of Inquirer, former Mayor Alice Guo suffered from stomachache over the weekend due to the tap water in her detention room. Guo has arrived at the Senate for the hearing.
