Former Mayor Alice Guo Expected To Arrive in PH Today
ALICE GUO – The former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor smiled for a photo in Indonesia before she will be brought back to the Philippines.
Former Mayor Alice Guo was recently arrested in Indonesia. The Philippines alerted the ASEAN ambassadors on the case of Guo and the Indonesian authorities moved to locate her amid a confirmation that she is in the country.
Prior to the arrest of Guo, her supposed sister, Shiela Guo, and Cassadra Li Ong were arrested in Indonesia. They were detained by the Indonesian authorities and sent back to the Philippines. Currently, Shiela is in the custody of the Senate while Cassandra is in the custody of the House of Representatives.
In a previous Senate hearing, Shiela Guo denied that Alice Guo is her sister. According to her, Alice’s father is just her “foster father” in the Philippines who ordered her to come to the come and work in an embroidery business. Shiela claimed that she was born in China and her mother is still there.
Cassandra Ong who was hospitalized after feeling dizzy during a House hearing denied that she and Alice are friends or business partners. According to her, she only knows Alice because Wesley Guo, the former Mayor’s brother, is her boyfriend.
Cassandra also denied being involved in the illegeal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in Porac, Pampanga. According to the alleged POGO representative, she is working for the Whirlwind Corp. which is the company that leased the building to Lucky South 99, an illegal POGO hub raided by the authorities in Porac.
Today, the Philippine authorities confirmed the turn-over of former Mayor Alice Guo and her return to the country. Attorney Stephen David, Alice Guo’s lawyer, expressed confidence that his client will face the accusations against her.
Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) PIO and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) released photos of Alice Guo taken before she will be brought back to the Philippines. Based on the post of ABS-CBN News, the former Mayor will return to the country today with DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos and PNP chief Rommel Marbil.
