Wil To Win Host Willie Revillame Explains Side over Behavior on Air
WILLIE REVILLAME – The “Wil To Win” host apologized to the viewers if he is often mad or scolding the staff of the show during airing.
In the Philippine showbiz industry, one of the most popular game show hosts is Willie or also popularly called “Kuya Wil”. He has hosted several big shows in the country like the Wowowee, Wil Time Bigtime, and the Wowowin.
The 63-year-old game show host is also an actor, comedian, singer, and songwriter. He has spent decades of his life in the show business and many milestones in his life unveiled before the public’s eyes. He is one of the wealthiest actors in the Philippine entertainment industry.
However, for quite a while now, Willie Revillame has not done any movie, TV series, or any acting project. He has not also released new songs for quite a while now. Meanwhile, he remains active in game show hosting.
Willie is currently hosting the game show Wil To Win aired in TV5. It was in July of this year when it started airing. However, on the very first two (2) weeks of the show, Kuya Wil was already receiving bashing and negative comments for his actions in the game show.
Several netizens were disappointed by the hosting behavior of Willie Revillame in the show. The negative comments came after he is often angry or scolding the staff of Wil To Win for the lapses. A lot of netizens are not comfortable with him reprimanding the staff of the show live on air.
Recently, Willie Revillame spoke about his behavior in the show Wil To Win. Based on an article on Pep, he apologized to the public for the times that he got angry but explain that he only wants the best for the viewers. According to him, other people may not get it but he scolds the staff when they commit a mistake as they have rehearsed it prior to the live airing.
“Kaya sana maintindihan ninyo kung ako ay nagagalit sa ere dahil, una, nire-rehearse namin yan... Ang point ko lang, bakit pa nagkakamali?” the veteran game show host said.
According to Willie, the staff may not be doing their job from the heart if they still commit mistakes even after the rehearsal. Based on the article, the veteran game show host expressed that other people may find him proud or arrogant but he just wants to make the people happy.
Kuya Wil stressed that he accepts getting bashed. According to him, he loves his bashers and they, in the show, just have good intentions.
