DOJ Gives Update on Sheila Guo, Sister of Former Mayor Alice Guo
SHEILA GUO – The Department of Justice revealed that the sister of Alice Guo felt unwell upon her arrival in NAIA and was put on wheelchair.
Two (2) companions of former Mayor Alice Guo were detained in Indonesia. They were intercepted by the authorities and were sent back to the Philippines. They arrived in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) late Thursday.
The said companions of the dismissed Mayor of Bamban, Tarlac are her sister, Sheila Guo, and Alice’s alleged cohort in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations, Cassandra Li Ong. The Bureau of Immigration previously expressed that Alice Guo is in Indonesia.
Sheila Guo and Cassandra Li Ong were sent back from Indonesia to the Philippines. They arrived in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 late Thursday. The sister of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was spotted in a wheelchair.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Sheila Guo felt unwell upon their arrival in NAIA Terminal 1. Meanwhile, justice spokesperson Mico Clavano said that the condition of former Mayor Guo’s sister has improved.
Speaking to reporters, Clavano expressed that the medical results have yet to be finalized but, “from the look”, both Sheila Guo and Cassandra Li Ong are okay. According to the spokesman of the DOJ, Sheila probably felt unwell due to the lack of oxygen as there were many people who waited for their arrival.
“Kasi kanina dinumog sila probably from lack of oxygen and space. Nagulat na lang siguro sila marami ang naka-abang sa kanila,” Clavano said.
Based on the report, the DOJ Spokesman assured that they made sure that Guo and Ong are both in good condition upon their arrival to the country. They were brought to the Bureau of Immigration for medical examination and inquest.
Both Sheila Guo and Cassandra Li Ong will be under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Based on the report, Ong will undergo inquest for obstruction of justice and violation of the Passport Act. As for the sister of dismissed Mayor Alice Guo, will be charged for violation of immigration rules.
Although the reports state that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has arrived in Indonesia, there are still no further information about her. The authorities already moved for the cancellation of her Philippine Passport.
