Senate Invites Sandro Muhlach, GMA-7 “Independent Contractors” for Hearing
SANDRO MUHLACH – A Senate inquiry regarding the complaint of the son of Niño Muhlach against 2 GMA-7 “independent contractors” is set.
Recently, the issue involving the son of actor Niño Muhlach and two (2) GMA-7 “independent contractors” took the social media by storm. The rumors had it that the younger Muhlach was taken advantage of by the “independent contractors” of the Kapuso network in a hotel.
The two (2) GMA-7 “independent contractors” were identified as Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz. Sandro Muhlach has filed a formal complaint against Nones and Cruz. In its statement, the Kapuso network assured that they will be investigating the issue.
GMA-7 did not disclose the information written on the complaint as per the request of Sandro for confidentiality. It assured the public to conduct a probe “with the highest standards of fairness and impartiality”.
The Muhlach family is outraged by the alleged incident and is determined to seek justice for what allegedly happened to Sandro. There are rumors that the Sparkle Management talent was traumatized for what happened. Amid the investigation, GMA-7 has suspended Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
The camp of Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz has reacted to the issue saying they will address it in the proper forum. They also made an appeal to the public to respect the ongoing scrutiny of what really happened amid the claims of both camps.
A Senate inquiry was set in line with the complaint of Sandro Muhlach against two (2) GMA-7 “independent contractors”, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz. Based on a recent report on Pep, the hearing is scheduled on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
Senator Robin Padilla who chairs the Senate Public Information and Mass Media Committee is set to lead the inquiry. The upper chamber invited Sandro Muhlach, Jojo Nones, and Richard Cruz but they have yet to confirm their attendance to the inquiry.
The Senate also invited the GMA network and the Sparkle GMA Artists Center executives, Atty. Diokno, GMA Labor Relations manager Atty. Fidel Ramos, and HR representative Fidel Asuncion. The upper chamber also invited the officers of the National Bureau of Investigation. Muhlach filed a complaint at the NBI.
