Pancho Magno on co-parenting setup with Max Collins
PANCHO MAGNO – The actor shared for the first time about his co-parenting setup with actress Max Collins as they raise their son Skye Anakin together.
It can be recalled that Max confirmed her “amicable” breakup with Pancho last year. Max and Pancho, who tied the knot in 2017, are co-parenting their son together.
Pancho revealed in an exclusive email interview with PEP.ph that he and Max try to be fair with their scheduling with their son as much as possible, especially because they’re in the same industry and they understand how hectic and erratic their work can be.
With Max and Pancho’s unpredictable schedules as celebrities, it can be challenging for them to attend their son’s school events at Smallville Montessori Circulo Verde. But Pancho said that they both make sure to attend their son’s important events as much as they can.
“If one of us is busy, the other parent will be there. We always make sure that at least one of us is present,” the actor said.
The actor also shared that among the everyday challenges he and Max face in co-parenting their son is the daily school drop-off and pick-up.
According to him, there are times when they’re both busy, and thus need to coordinate which one of them will bring their son to school and pick him up afterwards.
But Pancho said his son’s grandparents are a big help as they’re there to help out, and his yayas get along so they don’t encounter any issues. He also said that having the presence of extended family ensures that his son gets an extra dose of love whenever he spends time with either parent.
Skye turned 4 last July 8, 2024, and his parents honored his request for a pool party by holding the celebration on a Sunday, as Skye’s birthday fell on a Monday.
The actor also shared in an interview with PEP.ph that he and Max practice open communication, especially when it comes to their son’s education. He revealed that they always update each other on what’s happening with their son at school every day or as often as possible.
He has also noticed changes in his son’s development. According to the actor, his son has become very vocal and can easily express how he feels ever since he started school at Smallville. He also said that his son’s motor skills have drastically improved as well.
The actor added that seeing their son learn and make friends as he grows up is an experience that he and Max share as his parents.
“When it comes to Skye, we set aside our differences,” Pancho said. “Having Skye taught us that, at the end of the day, the love and respect we have for each other should always be there because even if we are not together anymore, we will always be family.”
