Former Actor Elvis Gutierrez Delivers Eulogy Speech for Late Wife Alexa
ELVIS GUTIERREZ – The former actor spoke at the eulogy for his late wife, Alexa Gutierrez, sharing details about how they met and their relationship.
The death of Alexa Gutierrez has left countless people broken. The Gutierrez family is deeply in grief for her loss and many of her loved ones and friends are also grieving her early passing. She is only 38 years old when she died after a battle against leukemia.
Shortly after the Gutierrez family’s return from their trip to Japan for their Christmas and New Year family vacation, Alexandra Joelle or more popularly called by her family and friends as “Alexa” was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She went through treatment and medication.
For several months since her diagnosis, her sister-in-law, Ruffa Gutierrez, constantly sought prayer from her followers for her recovery. Ruffa Gutierrez was heartbroken upon the death of her sister-in-law, Alexa.
It was in 2015 when Elvis Gutierrez and Alexa Uichico officially tied the knot. Their great love for each other is blessed with the lives of their two daughters, Aria, 9, and Ezra, 7. Sadly, the girls lost their mom at their young age.
Ruffa was vocal that she’s still processing the death of Alexa. Her daughters, Lorin and Venice, are also grieving the loss of their aunt who is visibly close to both of them. Sarah Lahbati also mourns the death of her “sestra”.
Elvis Gutierrez has also previously shared throwback photos of Alexa as he mourns the death of his wife. Meanwhile, he is firm that her death is not the end of their love story. That is what the former actor said in his speech at the eulogy for his late wife.
In his eulogy speech which Ruffa has shared a video on the online video-sharing platform TikTok, Elvis Gutierrez recalled how he and Alexa met. It was through a friend who invited them to a beach party. He also recalled that they were in a long distance relationship before which he was initially scared as he witnessed a lot of failed relationships due to LDR.
Elvis shared that there was also a time when they almost broke up after not seeing each other for several months — she’s in Houston while he’s in the Philippines. He left his acting career in the Philippines to fly to Houston and win her heart back.
Elvis Gutierrez recalled that he and Alexa Gutierrez were able to fix their relationship and time came that he brought her home to the Philippines. The former actor is vocal on his belief that he will never be loved the same way that Alexa did and he misses and loves her very much.
The former actor stressed that Alexa is really a ray of sunshine for many people. He also recalled the time when she noticed his puffy eyes as he would always keep his tears away from her. According to Elvis Gutierrez, his wife reminded him to be strong and he takes it as a reminder to be strong in faith. He admitted that the was questioning God and he was losing his faith a few days prior to his wife’s death. He is vocal that he simply cannot thank God in his prayers then.
