Angelica Yulo, Carlos Yulo’s Mother, Speaks on Issue with Olympian Son
CARLOS YULO’S MOTHER – Angelica Yulo is crying as she congratulated her son on his double gold wins in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Olympics wins of Carlos Yulo have brought so much pride and honor to the Philippines. He is the first Filipino athlete to win two (2) Olympic gold medals for the country — not to mention his double victory belongs in the same event, the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Carlos Yulo’s first gold medal win in the 2024 Paris Olympics was on Saturday. He won gold in men’s floor exercise after scoring 15.00. It left the Filipino nation rejoicing over the pride and honor brought by the victory of Caloy in the Olympics.
The Philippine national anthem was played at the arena following Caloy getting an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. It brought goosebumps to countless Filipinos who saw the momentuous event in person or online.
Unexpectedly, on Sunday, Carlos Yulo once again made the entire Filipino nation proud as he won another Olympic gold medal in men’s vault events. It marked his record of being the first Filipino athlete to bring the country two (2) Olympic gold medals.
The Philippine government and several entities want to express their appreciation over the hardwork and victory of Caloy in the Olympics. Currently, at least Php 33 million cash rewards, a house and lot, a condo unit, and a lot more are set to be given to Carlos Yulo in his return to the Philippines.
However, amid the country celebrating the Olympic wins of Carlos Yulo, his personal issues with his mother, Angelica Yulo, also surfaced. It is now no secret to the public that there are money issues between the mother and son which caused a rift.
Angelica Yulo even admitted that Carlos Yulo is blocked on her Messenger account due to the rift between them. In a live interview, Carlos Yulo’s mother apologized to her son and expressed to the public her desire for the issues between them to be put to rest.
The mother of the Olympian admitted that their family issues should have been resolved within their family and not exposed to the public. Amid their differences, Carlos Yulo’s mother congratulated her son for his victory in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She was in tears as she spoke on her message for him,
“Caloy, congratulations sa iyong tagumpay. Mahal na mahal ka naming lahat,” Angelica said.
During the live interview, Angelica Yulo also expressed that their home is open for Caloy, whether he has money or not, if he decides to talk to his parents on his return to the country. Previously, Carlos said that he has already forgiven his mother.
