PH Bet Carlos Yulo Wins Not Only 1 But 2 Olympic Gold Medals

His double gold medal win in the 2024 Olympics held in Paris, France makes Caloy the first Filipino to have two gold Olympic medals. He is also the first male athlete from the Philippines to win a gold medal in the Olympics. In the female category, weightlifting champion Hidilyn Diaz was the first to win gold during the Tokyo Olympics.
Several rewards await Carlos Yulo back in the Philippines. Based on an article on GMA News, here are the rewards that await the Olympics double gold medalist:
- Php 10 million cash reward under the Republic Act 10699
- an Olympic Gold Medal of Valor from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)
- a house and lot from the Philippine Olympic Committee
- a condominium unit from a property developer
- Php 6 million cash reward from the House of Representatives
Based on another GMA News report, House Speaker Martin Romualdez also said that he initiated a fundraising campaign for additional cash rewards for Carlos Yulo. The campaign intends to raise funds from his fellows in the House of Representatives.
Vice Ganda also pledged free entrance and food for Caloy at his newly-opened comedy bar. The Unkabogable Star expressed his gratitude to the Olympics double gold medalist for bringing honor to the country.
