Mother of Carlos Yulo, Angelica Yulo, Speaks on Rift with Son
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of Olympics double gold medalist Carlos Yulo confirmed that he is blocked on her Messenger account.
The double gold win of Carlos Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics brought pride and honor to the Philippines. The country has already secured four (4) medals in the Summer games including boxer Aira Villega’s bronze medal and Nesthy Petecio’s bronze medal win in boxing.
Carlos Yulo won the Olympic gold medals in men’s floor exercise held on Saturday and men’s vault events held on Sunday. The Filipino gymnast admitted that winning another gold medal after Saturday’s victory was beyond his expectations.
According to Caloy, he only wished for him to be safe and for no one joining the sports event to get injured. He is the first Filipino athlete to make a double gold win in the Olympics and also the first male athlete to get an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines.
However, on the other side of the celebrations over the success of Carlos Yulo, the issues between him and his mother, Angelica Yulo, has caught national attention. There are money issues between them and Caloy claimed that his mother is against his relationship with his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose.
Angelica Yulo earned bashing from countless netizens due to her previous statements against her son. There are also netizens who sympathized with her sentiments being a mother. Carlos Yulo reacted to her claims and said that she has forgiven her mother.
Caloy defended his girlfriend from the accusation that she is financially dependent on him. According to him, Chloe is using her own money as she has her own sources of income. He also revealed that she grew up with a different culture as she was raised in Australia.
Recently, Angelica Yulo spoke in a live interview with the press as she wants to put an end to the issues between her and her son, Carlos Yulo. She recognized that it has been unveiled in the public’s eye and it is a matter that they should have resolved within their family.
Angelica apologized to Carlos saying she’s just concerned about him. She also admitted that she is hurting as the kind son that she raised no longer listens to her. Meanwhile, she expressed her willingness to talk to Caloy saying that their home is open for him when he gets back whether he has money or not.
Many people also noticed that there was no post on the social media account of Angelica Yulo about her son Carlos. During the live interview, the mother of the Olympian denied that she blocked Caloy on Facebook. According to her, she blocked him on Messenger for her peace.
When asked if she will now unblock Carlos, Angelica smiled and left an uncertain answer — “We’ll see,” she said.
