Mother of Carlos Yulo, Angelica Yulo, Admits She’s Still in Pain over Issues
ANGELICA YULO – The mother of Pinoy pride Carlos Yulo was asked if she has forgiven and she will accept the girlfriend of her son, Chloe San Jose.
The double gold win of Carlos Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics marked the Philippines’ first back-to-back win the Olympics. The Pinoy gymnast stood above the rest in men’s floor exercise and vault events. His victory is a historical moment for the country.
Caloy is the first male athlete to win an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. He is also the first athlete to win a double gold medal and it brought so much pride and honor to the country.
Back home in the Philippines, there are already several rewards that await Carlos Yulo as the government and several private entities want to show appreciation of his success in the Olympics. It is not only the pride of Caloy but as well as of every Filipino.
However, on the other side of Filipinos celebrating the Olympic double gold win of Carlos Yulo, his family issues were unveiled to the public. It has been known that Caloy and his mother, Angelica Yulo, are not in good terms.
Despite the issues, at a press conference, Carlos Yulo’s mother was in tears as she congratulated Caloy for his Olympic double gold wins. It was confirmed by both parties that they have a rift due to money matters and her disapproval of the girlfriend of her son, Chloe San Jose.
During the press conference, Angelica Yulo explained that she is only a mother who is hurting as her son does not listen to her anymore. She apologized to him and expressed her willingness to have a sit-down talk with her son over the issues.
Previously, after defending his girlfriend on the accusation of her mother, Carlos Yulo said he has already forgiven his mom. He stressed that Chloe is not financially-dependent on him as she uses her own money.
At the press conference, Angelica Yulo was asked if she has forgiven Chloe San Jose, one of the reasons behind the rift between her and her son Carlos. The mother of the Paris Olympics double gold medalist admitted that she can still the pain caused by the issues.
“Masyadong malalim kasi yung pain. So, sa ngayon, yun yung pinag-pray ko na mawala yung pain, and afterwards siyempre ang kasunod na is pagpapatawad,” the mother of Caloy said.
Meanwhile, Angelica Yulo believes that it is now the best time for them to move forward and forget everything that happened. When asked if she can accept the girlfriend of her son, the mother of Caloy refused to give a comment.
