Guo denied the allegations. The authorities also questioned her identity as hers and Chinese national Guo Hua Ping’s fingerprints matched. According to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), it suggests that they are the same person.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) also filed a Php 500,000 tax evasion case against Guo. The office of the Solicitor General (OSG) ordered the dismissal of Alice Guo as mayor. However, the authorities failed to locate her.

A few days ago, Senator Risa Hontiveros presented a document during a Senate session. It showed that Guo has left the Philippines. It took social media platforms by storm leaving countless Filipinos feeling turned down again. The Bureau of Immigration said that Guo’s currently in Indonesia.

Recently, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) admitted that the law enforcement agencies are to be blamed over the exit of former Mayor Alice Guo from the Philippines. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, PAOCC spokesman Winston Casio believes that corruption has taken place in the exit of the former Mayor from the country.

Someone somewhere dropped the ball, someone somewhere dribbled the ball so kailangan iniimbestigahan namin,” Casio said.

Furthermore, the PAOCC Spokesman stressed that while the immigration bureau is in charge of the official entry and exit points in the country, the number of the law enforcement personnel is greater that those of the immigration officials.

Based on the article, Casio also revealed that the authorities were supposed to apprehend former Mayor Alice Guo in a “private resort in the western tip of Luzon on July 17”. However, their source in the particular location informed them that Guo has left via two (2) speed boats in the early hours of their operation.

The PAOCC Spokesman expressed that he is not putting the blame on the Department of Justice but on them in the law enforcement. He stressed the reality that Guo and her cohorts were able to leave the country because of money.
